ACADEMIC PRIZES

(i) Academic Award

This award will be given in respect of each branch of Master of Engineering/Technology Programme who gets maximum percentage of marks based on the performance in all theory subjects including thesis (all four semesters/seven spells) subject to a minimum of 75% marks provided that there are minimum 5 students appearing in the examination in the concerned M.E. programme. The condition of minimum 5 students appearing in the examination will not apply if a student gets 90% or more marks.

A merit certificate and Rs. 5,000/- cash are presented to all such students during Annual Day Celebrations of the Institute.

(ii) Dr. S.P. Luthra Memorial Gold Medal

Dr. S.P. Luthra Memorial Gold Medal and a certificate of merit is awarded during Annual Day Celebrations of the Institute every year to a student whose performance based on the complete course is ‘the best performance’ among all students of all M.E./M.Tech Programmes provided that there are minimum 5 students appearing in the examination of the concerned M.E. programme.
