IIT Rajasthan(Jodhpur) M.Tech Admissions 2012

IIT Rajasthan invites applications for admission to the interdisciplinary M.Tech programmes (Regular and full time) in (i) Centre of Excellence in Energy and (ii) Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technology (iii) Centre of Excellence in Systems Science for the academic year commencing from July 2012. Minimum Educational Qualifications :
(Applicants must have mathematics background at +2 level. )

Sc. / Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Electronics/ Physics or equivalent a) GN/OBC: minimum 60% or CPI of 6.5/10 or CGPA of 2.6/4 or First class or equivalentb) SC/ST/PH: minimum 55% or CPI of 6/10 or a CGPA of 2.4/4 Valid GATE* Score in the disciplines CS/ EC/ EE/AE/ ME/ PH/ IN/ MA / XE or in respective and relevant discipline.
* For a candidate possessing B.Tech. from any IIT with CPI 8.0 or above, the requirements of valid GATE score is exempted.

 

M.Tech program at IIT Rajasthan requires mathematics background at +2 level. After joining the program, you are required take a few mathematics courses as part of your course work. However, those got admitted, depending on the requirement, may be provided with preparatory courses in mathematics before starting of the actual course work.

For July 2012 admission, the online link will remain active till April 23, 2012. The summary sheet, final submitted application, Demand Draft & Gate score card should reach us by April 26, 2012.

 

You are requested to send summary sheet & final submitted application generated online duly signed along with the processing fee of Rs.300/- for General/ OBC candidates and Rs.150/- for SC/ ST / Persons with Disability (PD) candidates in the form of demand draft drawn from a nationalized bank in favour of “Director, IIT Rajasthan” payable at Jodhpur to the following address:

Reservation :

Reservation policy is applicable as per Government of India rules.

 

Financial Assistance:

  • Students in the two-year M.Tech programme receive an assistantship of Rs. 8000 per month.
  • Students getting the assistantship are required to assist in teaching or research, as assigned by the Centre, to the extent of 8 hours per week.
  • The continuation of the assistantship is subject to satisfactory performance of the duties assigned by the Centre as well as satisfactory academic performance.
  • The assistantship is available for a maximum period of 24 months.
