IBSAT Admission 2013 Application Guidelines

Important Instructions

Prior to filling the online application, please read the eligibility criterion given on the reverse of the voucher and gather the information needed to complete the process:

  • Ensure you have a valid email address, telephone number and address before you apply. These should be valid throughout the admission process.
  • Keep the marks sheets of X, XII, Graduation and any other professional qualification ready for calculating percentage of marks. The percentage obtained is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the board/university/institution from where you will be graduating.

If academic institutions offer grade point averages (GPA), they need to be converted into percentage score as per the conversion scheme of that institution. If an institution does not have a conversion scheme for GPA, the equivalence has to be calculated by dividing obtained Cumulative GPA (CGPA) by the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying by 100.

  • Keep the Voucher ready.

You have to apply for IBSAT 2013 by using the link ibsat.ibsindia.org/ibsat2013/online/

Opening Screen

On the first screen, you will see two boxes – “Login ID” and “Password.” You may login using the application number (given at the top of the voucher) as login id and Voucher No. (found under the scratch area at the top of the voucher) as password.

On entering a valid login ID and password you will be taken to the next section, which is “Change your password”.

Change your password

On entering and saving a valid password you will be taken to the login page once again. The new password saved by you will be emailed to your email address.

On logging in with your new password you will be taken to next session which is filling up the online

In this section, you will enter your contact details, program information and past academic record details.

Guidelines for filling individual items

PERSONAL DETAILS

Please enter your Name (as it appears in your academic records), DOB, Gender, Citizenship, Address, Email id and Tel numbers. As all the communication will be sent through email it is mandatory to provide two valid email id’s.

PROGRAM

Select the program you are applying based on your eligibility for the program. The eligibility requirements are given on the reverse of the voucher.

PAST ACADEMIC RECORD

School

Name of the School: Enter the name of the school/ junior college.

Board: Enter the name of the board.

Year of Passing (YOP): Select the year of passing from the drop down list.

Marks (%): Indicate your aggregate marks percentage, rounded off to the nearest digit.
The decimals from 0.5 and above have to be rounded off to the next higher number.

Example: A percentage of 81.01 to 81.49 should be indicated as 81 and a percentage of 81.51 should be indicated as 82.

Medium: Indicate your medium of instruction from the drop down list.

Mode of study: Indicate whether you have studied full time, part time or in distance mode.

Graduation/ Postgraduation Details

Title: Select the title from the drop down list. If the title is not available in the drop down list, please select “other” option in the list and enter the title in the space provided.

Duration: Select the duration of program in terms of number of years from the drop down list.

Year of Passing (YOP): Select the year of passing from the drop down list.

If completed: Indicate the year in which you have passed the final year of the examination.

If studying: If you are in the final year of the program indicate the likely year of completion of the program.

Marks (%): Indicate your aggregate marks percentage, rounded off to the nearest digit.

If completed: If you have completed your program, enter the percentage of aggregate marks in the box and darken the appropriate circles.

If studying: If you are in the final year of the program, enter the percentage of aggregate marks obtained for the years/semesters of the program completed till date.

The decimals from 0.5 and above have to be rounded off to the next higher number.

Medium: Indicate your medium of instruction from the drop down list.

Mode of study: Indicate whether you have studied full time, part time or in distance mode.

Graduation Details

College: Enter the name of the college.

City: Enter the name of the city where the college is located

State: Enter the name of the state where the college is located

University: Enter the name of the University the college is affiliated to.

Professional Qualifications

Title: Select the professional qualification title from the drop down list. If the title is not available in the drop down list, please select “other” option in the list and provide the title in the space provided

Year of Passing (YOP): Select the year of passing from the drop down list.

Marks (%): Indicate your aggregate marks percentage, rounded off to the nearest digit.
The decimals from 0.5 and above have to be rounded off to the next higher number.

Mode of study: Indicate whether you have studied full time, part time or in distance mode.

PHOTOGRAPH

Please upload your phototograph (Colour photograph – Full face till the shoulders) in jpeg or gif format. The photograph size should not exceed 25KB and should be approximately 140 – 160 pixels.

Please specify how you wish to apply for the programs of IBS, through IBSAT 2013 score or GMAT/ CAT score.

DECLARATION

In this section, you will be required to choose “I Agree” to the declaration statement. This declaration affirms that you are eligible to take IBSAT 2013 and all the information that you have entered is correct.

Choose “I agree,” in order to click “Submit” to proceed to the next section.

On clicking “Submit” you will view the complete data you have keyed in. In case you wish to make any changes you have to click the “Back” button else if you wish to proceed with submitting the data you have to click “Submit“ button.

On clicking “Submit” your data will be saved and you will move on to the next section, which is scheduling your test. Once you save the details you will no longer be able to edit the data which you have entered.

Schedule IBSAT 2013 / Provide GMAT / CAT scores

Once your application has been successfully submitted, continue the online process to schedule an appointment to take the IBSAT 2013 or provide your GMAT / CAT scores.

GMAT / CAT scores

In case you wish to provided your GMAT / CAT scores, please select the GMAT / CAT tab, and you will be provided the option to enter your scores.

The steps to be followed to schedule your slot for taking IBSAT 2013

Enter the IBSAT Entrance Test Application Number in the box provided. Click submit after this, the Slot Booking Screen will open to permit the booking of slot for the test.

Step-I

Select city using the drop down box provided on the left side of the screen.
Then select the test center from the drop down box provided below city drop down.

Step–II & Step–III

Select the date and time of the Test from the radio buttons.

Select either By Time or By Date.

Select By Date displays a calendar allowing candidate to select the preferred test date and based on date selected, list of available slots are displayed to students.

Select By Time provides the list of available time slots and depending on time slot selected by the candidate a calendar with available dates gets displayed

The candidate can follow either way to book a date and time for the test.

Step–IV

Submit and wait till process is completed

Step–V

Verify the details shown and if found correct press the “Confirm” button.
Booking once confirmed cannot be cancelled

Step–VI

Click on the ‘Print the Hall ticket (Admit Card)’ button for printing the Admit card.

Print the hall ticket (Admit card) option is available on the screen.

(It is advised to print Hall ticket (Admit card) immediately to avoid problems. In the event of the printer not working, the candidate may print the admit card at later time).

Re-entering the IBSAT Scheduling System

If you have already completed filling the online application form and scheduling IBSAT 2013 test but want to get another copy of your application or a copy of your admit card, use the link “www.ibsindia.org/ibsatlogin”. You will need to enter the application number as Login ID and your Password.

Test Process

You will take the IBSAT 2013 on a computer at the test center selected by you during the scheduling of the IBSAT 2013 test. You do not need any computer experience or typing skill to take the test. IBSAT 2013 will begin with a short tutorial on the test and its features.

You must arrive one hour before your scheduled appointment. This allows time for you to sign in and for staff to verify your identification and documentation.

You will need to bring the following items with you to the test center:

Admit Card: You must bring your Admit Card with you to the test center. You will not be allowed to appear for the test without it.

Required Identification: You must present an original, valid (non-expired) form of photo identification before you appear for the test. The name on the photo identification must match your name as entered in the IBSAT 2013 registration. Acceptable forms of photo identification are limited to: driver’s license; passport; Aadhaar Card; PAN card; voter ID; college ID (supported with a valid ATM/Debit/Credit Card with your name); employee identification card; or a notarized Affidavit with photo, signature, date of birth and residential address. Photocopies of the original are not acceptable. If in doubt, bring a notarized Affidavit.

Note: If you do not present appropriate photo identification, you will not be allowed to take the IBSAT 2013.

Test Centers*

IBSAT 2013 will be conducted at test centers all over India. The applicants can choose any one of the test centers available for IBSAT. The list of the test centers is given below.

Test Center Regulations

To ensure that all candidates appear for the test under equally favourable conditions, the following regulations and procedures will be observed at each test center. Failure to follow any of the security procedures may result in the disqualification of your test. IBS reserves the right to audiotape and videotape any test session.

References

No reference materials, papers or study materials are allowed at the test center. If you are found with these or any other aids, you will not be allowed to continue the test and your answers will not be scored. You will be provided with scratch papers to use during the test session. These items (used and unused) must be returned at the end of the test session. Removing scratch paper from the test center will be considered an act of misconduct.

Personal Items

Personal items other than identification documents are not allowed in the test room. This includes cell phones, PDAs, BlackBerry® devices, digital/analog watches, and any other electronic or photographic devices. You will not have access to your personal items during the test. If you fail to follow the directions of the test center staff, you will not be permitted to take the test. Any violation of this procedure during the test may result in cancellation of your scores, dismissal by the test center staff, or banning from future test. Test Centers and IBS assume no responsibility for personal items or devices that you choose to bring into the test center.

Breaks

There are no scheduled or unscheduled breaks. Once you have been seated at the test center, you must remain in your seat during the test except when authorized to leave by a test center staff member.

Visitors

Friends or relatives who accompany you to the test center are not allowed to wait in the test center or be in contact with you while you take the test. Misconduct or Disruptive Behaviour: Candidates who engage in any kind of misconduct or disruptive or offensive behaviour may be dismissed from the test. Examples are: giving or receiving help, taking part in an act of impersonation, removing test materials or notes from the testing room, using rude or offensive language and behaviour that delays or interrupts test.

Weapons

Weapons are strictly prohibited at the test center.

Questions on Test Content

Test center administrators are not allowed to answer any questions pertaining to the test content. If you do not understand a question on the test, you should answer the question to the best of your ability.
